Natural Flea and Tick Prevention
Making homemade flea and tick prevention using essential oils offers a natural and chemical-free alternative to store-bought treatments. Essential oils like lavender, cedarwood, rosemary, peppermint and lemongrass are known for their insect-repelling properties and can help protect pets from pests without exposing them to harsh synthetic ingredients. This approach is especially beneficial for pets with sensitive skin or allergies, as it reduces the risk of irritation and adverse reactions. Additionally, homemade solutions can be cost-effective, customizable, and environmentally friendly, giving pet owners more control over what goes on their furry companions.

How to make flea & tick mixture
1. Get a 16oz dark colored glass bottle https://amzn.to/429bRCb

Directions
Be sure to shake the bottle before use. It is best to rub the coat in the opposite direction and mist the body, legs, and tail. Spray onto hands or a cloth to apply to face and ears. Do not soak pets. Test a small area on the back of the neck 1 hour before full-body application. Apply to the collar as well. Spray every other day on the full body and daily on the legs and feet.

I also recommend TUMERIC OIL; apply along the spine and the base of the tail 3x a week. Add a couple of drops to the collar.
You can also add 1/2 Cup Witch Hazel, fill the remainder of 16oz bottle with water and add Tumeric Oil and spray on cat or dog.

You can also apply food-grade DE (Diatenasious Earth) on cat or a dog 2x weekly and also apply it to bedding and carpeted areas. It can be a bit dusty, so it is best to apply outside if you have a larger breed. Be sure not to breathe in dust while applying, and try not to get the dust close to their face.

If you would rather not make your own mixture, there is a natural flea and tick spray called WONDERCIDE.

These are microscopic organisms you can spray on your lawn. They eat flea larvae in the soil, stopping the cycle in the environment without using any pesticides.
If you have a dog with dry, itchy red skin due to fleas you can make a separate bottle with 1 cup of Witch Hazel
2 cups Green Tea
and add 3 pellets of Boiron SULFUR
Shake well before every use.

You can also give SULFUR homeopathic tablets orally to help alleviate red, dry, itchy skin. 1 pellet 1x a day until symptoms gone.
